iResistors App Reviews

FAIL

Very buggy. Doesnt even load!!

SLIDE!

Touching the strips doesnt work, BUT sliding/swiping over them does! Great little app to have in your pocket if electronics is your thing.

Its handy and its free.

I appreciate the free part. Its a little difficult to select the bands. I seem to pass them up quickly, one swipe may pass by three bands. Would be 5 star if that was fixed and if there was a number input which would change the colors automatically. Great start though. Thank You

I didnt really undestand it but it was fun to mess with the colors haha

Creative?

Pretty much a blatant rip-off (and a bad one, at that) with an -ors tacked on, but hey; it is free!

Not That Great

Too difficult to select colors. Should also work in reverse.

Great idea, poor implementation...

Instructions are to swipe the band to change the value/color. You can move your finger less than 1/4 of an inch, and cycle through ALL possible colors - VERY difficult to select the color you want. I cant imagine it would be that difficult to make the swipe less sensitive - and no compelling reason to use a swipe beyond the "gimmick" factor in my opinion. Fix that, and it becomes at least somewhat useful - would also be good to have the ability to put in a value, and have it show you the resulting color code. Again - great idea, and I was excited when I found it, but am taking others advice and getting "iResist" instead.

ok app

its definately hard to select the color I think they should of had some sort of scroll down menu if you just tap on the band

Good, but a couple of fixes needed

Two fixes that would benefit this app are 1) less sensitive color bands. Perhaps a scroll list (drop-down) as 1 reviewer mentioned. Also, 2) make the colors solid. The graphic in the background is nice, but with the translucent color bands, can be a bit detracting. Overall, though, very useful.
